Florida's Turnpike North - West Palm to Golden Glades
Northbound Florida's Turnpike Extension, Golden Glades Interchange to Homestead Extension
Between the Golden Glades Interchange and the junction with the Homestead Extension of Florida's Turnpike (HEFT, or secret Florida 821), a brief, four-mile section of turnpike connects the two routes. Since the HEFT has the mainline exit numbers, this short section has its own series of exit numbers, which are suffixed with an "X." There is one exit on this short stretch, at Exit 2X, N.W. 199th Street (Dan Marino Boulevard). Dan Marino is a retired quarterback who played for football's Miami Dolphins during the 1980s and 1990s.
