Interstate 75 - Tennessee
Interstate 75 bypasses central Knoxville, utilizing a portion of the Interstate 640 bypass freeway and Interstate 275 joins Interstates 75 & 640 at their merge with Interstate at downtown. This was not always the case, as Interstate 75 originally followed the Interstate 275 alignment to a shared alignment with Interstate 40 west. Changes in the Interstate 75 alignment were made in 1982.
