Interstate 85
179 miles worth of Interstate highway straddling northern Georgia. Interstate 85 links Atlanta with Montgomery, Alabama to the south and Greenville/Spartanburg, South Carolina to the north. The highway serves far reaching suburbs towards Interstate 985, while the downtown duplex with Interstate 75 carries 16 lanes of travel. The Interstate is six lanes from Exit 51 (Georgia 54) northward to Exit 113 (Interstate 985). Southwest of Atlanta, the highway retains concrete. This pavement is diamond-grinded on a regular basis.
