U.S. 276 West
One of several new neutered shields appearing in the Palmetto State. This particular trailblazer is posted along Laurens Road (U.S. 276) westbound near the Exit 42 interchange of Interstate 385. A diamond interchange comprises the junction between U.S. 276 (Poinsett Highway) and Old Buncombe Road north of Greenville. Old Buncombe Road passes over the federal highway from Sans Souci to the south and parallels U.S. 276 to the east of Furman University. Photos taken 07/23/04.

Old Buncombe Road and Marchbanks Drive intersects U.S. 276 (Old Poinsett Highway) at the north end of the Furman University expressway. From there the federal highway continues north toward junction U.S. 25 at the community of Travelers Rest.
